Welsummers are a beautiful heritage breed known for their rich terracotta-brown eggs which are often speckled, distinctive feather pattern and active, curious nature. At Roslin Poultry Ranch, our Welsummers are selected for strong egg colour, health, temperament and overall quality.

About Welsummers

Welsummers originated in the Netherlands and are named after the village of Welsum. The breed became known for its distinctive reddish-brown eggs, often marked with darker speckles, as well as its attractive partridge-patterned plumage.

2026 Season is Closed. Reservation forms will be available January 1st 2027.
