About Coastal Eggers

Coastal Eggers are a developing specialty breeding line created at Roslin Poultry Ranch with a focus on producing beautiful pastel blue, green and blue-green eggs. The line has been carefully selected over multiple generations for its colourful egg shades, productive laying ability, health and overall quality.

As a specialty hybrid line selected for laying ability, Coastal Eggers have the potential to produce approximately 200–250 eggs per hen per year under good laying conditions, although actual production will vary depending on genetics, age, daylight, nutrition and management.

Because Coastal Eggers are a developing line rather than a standardized breed, egg colour and feathering can vary from bird to bird. Each generation is selected with the goal of producing productive, healthy birds that contribute to a colourful and diverse backyard egg basket.
