About Barred Whiting True Blue
Barred Whiting True Blue is a specialty breeding line developed at Roslin Poultry Ranch, combining the blue egg genetics associated with Whiting True Blue with distinctive barred feathering.
This developing line was created to offer a unique combination of blue egg colour and barred plumage. Our breeding focus is on maintaining blue egg colour, clear barring, health, temperament and productive laying ability.
Because Barred WTB is a developing specialty line rather than a standardized breed, birds can vary in appearance while retaining the characteristics that make the line unique.

Barred WTB Started Pullets
Our Barred WTB Specialty Pullets come from our dedicated Barred WTB breeding group, maintained separately from our regular Whiting True Blue breeding group.
These pullets are an exciting option for breeders interested in working with barring genetics and developing future sex-linked crosses. At approximately 8 weeks old, the pullets are already sexed, allowing breeders to add known female Barred WTB genetics to their breeding program.
Barring is a genetic trait, and its inheritance and expression can vary. These pullets are therefore offered as a breeding opportunity, rather than a guarantee of a particular outcome in future crosses.
