Don't let a chicken emergency catch you off guard!
Owning chickens, you will never know when what type of emergency will come up and your chicken needs medical attention.
There is no way of knowing when a sick or injured chicken is going to need immediate, medical attention, so its best to prepare for the worst. During an urgent, medical situation, acquiring supplies should not be the priority.
You should have a few items on hand. I have a chicken medical kit with various things I've needed along the way.
First Aid Kit Essentials

Promotes fast healing of wounds.
Helps soften the footpad before bumblefoot treatment.
Helps draw out infection with bumblefoot.
Use when dealing with bumblefoot.
Helps for foot wrapping with dealing with bumblefoot or scaly leg mites.
When you might need to syringe feed a unwell chicken.
For bleeding nails, spurs and beaks.
For trimming spurs, toe nails and beaks.
For broken beak repair.
A good shampoo to have on hand, especially in summer when chickens have dirty vent feathers to help prevent flystrike.
