We do not sell Ready to Lay Hens as space is limited.
Roslin Poultry Ranch will once again be offering Started Pullets for the upcoming year. We have made some changes to our process for the 2026 season.
We will not be accepting pullet pre-orders unless there is flexibility in the timeline. There will be no pre-order selection option available.
As a small-scale family-run backyard poultry farm, we have limited space for growing out the pullets. Therefore, we advise having alternative breeds in mind as not all breeds may be available for growing out together.
The started pullets will be available from the month of May onwards and will continue to be offered throughout the summer season.

We will be offering pre-orders for Hatching Eggs and Day Old Chicks
We are now also offering a new group of SEXED FEMALE Chicks- THE SPICE GIRLS
Several factors influence the availability of pullets, some of which are beyond our control.
1. The percentage of roosters hatched.
2. Variation in the ages of the breeding flock, affecting egg production and the ability to fill orders for multiple breeds.
Due to these reasons, we may not be able to fulfill all orders at the beginning of the season as desired. We will have the 2026 Started Pullet Availability Schedule updated with the breeds that will become available on upcoming dates. We encourage you to check the schedule frequently starting in April/May.
Purebred breeds such as Welsummer, Lavender Cochins, and Blue or Splash Marans will be available with their respective feather colors. Whiting True Blue and including Hybrid pullets, come in a variety of feather colors.

The 6-8 week old pullets will be big enough to integrate into your existing flock.

Welsummer Pullet -
$40 each
Blue and Splash Marans Pullet - $40 each
Welsummers lay a dark brown terracotta coloured egg, with the possibility of speckles.

Marans lay a deep-reddish brown egg.
​

Whiting True Blue Pullet - $35 each
Whiting True Blue lay a blue egg. and come in a variety of feather colours.
Lavender Cochin Pullet - $40 each. Pullets will be available later in the season than the other breeds, approximately June/July.
Cochins lay a beige coloured egg.

Rustic Egger Pullet -
$40 each
Rustic Egger pullets will lays shades of daker olives and darker browns. They will also come in a variety of feather colours.
This is RPR's own variety of
Backcross Olive Eggers.
Some of these breeds were bred for speckling in their eggs. Although it is not guaranteed, there is a high chance for speckling with offspring.
Coastal Egger Pullet -
$35 each
Coastal Eggers will lay shades of greens to blues. Possibilities for egg colour are- light green, powder blue, spearmint, jade, sage, pistachio, turquoise or teal.
This is RPR's own variety of Backcross Easter Eggers.
They also come in a variety of feather colours and with some eggs a chance of speckling.
