Our Barred Whiting True Blue (WTB) hatching eggs come from a dedicated breeding group within our WTB program, housed with a barred WTB rooster and barred WTB hens.
 
This specialty breeding group is maintained for those interested in working with barring genetics, particularly breeders looking for a useful tool when developing sex-linked crosses and future breeding projects.
 
The eggs themselves are the same beautiful blue-egg WTB genetics you know and love, but they come from our separate Barred WTB breeding group and are offered as a specialty breeding line.

Because barring is determined by genetics, individual eggs cannot be identified as carrying the barring gene, and not every chick will necessarily inherit or express barring. This specialty line is offered for the opportunity to work with these genetics, rather than a guarantee of barred offspring.
