2026 Chick Reservations & Hatch Schedule
At Roslin Poultry Ranch, we offer a limited number of high-quality heritage and specialty chicks each season. Our breeding program includes select lines chosen for temperament, productivity and beautiful egg colour. Availability varies throughout the spring and summer and pre-season reservations help ensure you have the best chance of securing the breeds you want.

Pre-Season Interest Form Instructions (2026 Season)
Secure your spot for early season chicks by completing the Pre-Season Interest Form. This option allows you to request your preferred breeds before hatch dates are officially posted on our calendar below.
Please Note
* Submitting this form does not guarantee availability for every breed, but it does allow us to plan our first hatches based on demand.
* Once hatch dates are finalized, we will contact you to confirm availability, pricing and pickup timing.
* No payment is required today. Payment will be made when your reservation is confirmed for a specific hatch date.
After submitting the form, you will receive an automatic confirmation email letting you know we received your request.

Regular Season Chick Reservations (Opens February 1st)
Starting February 1st, customers will be able to officially reserve day-old chicks for the 2026 hatch season.
During the regular season, reservations are taken through our online Chick Reservation Form, which will appear on this page when the season opens. At that time, you will be able to reserve your breeds, select a preferred hatch week and complete payment to secure your spot in the hatch lineup.
What to Expect on February 1st
* The Regular-Season Reservation Form will be visible right here.
* Customers may submit their breed selections and quantities.
* Payment will be processed at that time of reservation.
* Reservations will be filled in order of submission for each hatch cycle.
* Hatch calendar updates will continue throughout the season, showing which breeds are set and when each hatch is expected.
Until February 1st
Our Pre-Season Interest Form (Now until January 31) is currently open for customers who want to express interest early and help us plan which breeds to set for the first hatches.
This form does not collect payment and does not secure a spot - regular-season reservations must be made starting February 1st.

2. Check the Hatch Calendar
Our live Hatch Calendar (located at the bottom of this page) shows:
* Scheduled hatch dates
* Which breeds are set in the incubator
* Estimated quantities
* Any hatch-week updates
This calendar is updated regularly so customers can plan ahead and choose the most suitable hatch dates before placing a reservation.
3. Reserve Your Chicks
Once you know your preferred hatch week:
1. Select your breed(s) on the Day-Old Chicks page.
2. Fill out the Regular Season Reservation Form (will be added to page February 1st)
3. You will receive a confirmation email
You will be placed on the reservation list for that hatch period.
If a hatch yields fewer chicks than expected, your reservation will automatically roll to the next available hatch of the same brees unless you request otherwise.
4. After Your Chicks Hatch
You will receive a Hatch Confirmation Email within 24 hours of hatch day.
Pickup scheduling guidelines:
* No sooner than 2 days post-hatch
* No later than 7 days post-hatch
This gives the chicks time to rest before going home.
5. Want Chick Updates but Not Ready to Reserve?
If a breed is not currently in stock on the website, you may click "Notify Me When Available" to join the alert list.
Notification emails go out only after all reservations are filled.
These chicks are available on first-come, first-served basis.
6. Why Chick Listings Show "Out of Stock"
You may notice that all chicks on our "Day-Old Chicks" page display Out of Stock.
This is intentional.
Because our chicks are hatched in small batches and almost always reserved in advance, we keep the product listings marked Out of Stock until:
*All pre-season and regular season reservations for that hatch date are filled and
* We have extra chicks available.
Only the surplus chicks - after reservations are satisfied - are released to the website for normal checkout.
If you see chicks suddenly appear "In Stock," it means:
* They were not pre-reserved
* They are available first-come, first-served
* You may add them to your cart immediately
For predictable availability, we strongly recommend using the Pre-Season (Interest) Reservation Form or the Regular-Season Reservation Form (beginning February 1st)
Reservation Payment Policy
Customers pay upfront to reserve their chicks for a selected hatch week.
If a hatch produces fewer chicks than expected, reservations are filled in order of purchase date.
Any remaining unpaid orders automatically roll forward to the next available hatch of the same breed unless, the customer prefers a substitute.
Reservations are refundable only if we cannot supply chicks within 2 consecutive hatch cycles.
