Breeding for egg colour is one of the things we focus on, especially with our own line of Coastal Eggers Hatching Eggs. After researching genetics and what gets you certain egg colour consistently, we decided on certain breeds that help add bright pops of colour to your egg basket.
Coastal Eggers are our own unique breeding combinations that ensure you get bright blues and greens- in shades of mint, jade, seafoam, sage, turquoise or teal and all the shades in between by crossing back to roosters with the double blue egg gene.
Feather colour will vary as well as certain features of muffs, beards and crests. Coastal Eggers will lay approximately 280 eggs per year.
