At the Ranch, breeding for egg color is one of our main focuses, especially with our own line of Coastal Eggers. After researching genetics and understanding how to consistently produce certain egg colors, we carefully selected breeds that help create bright, vibrant pops of color in your egg basket.
Our Coastal Eggers chicks are the result of these unique breeding combinations, designed to give you a range of stunning blue and green eggs. Egg colors can include powder blue, light green, spearmint, mint, jade, pistachio, sage, seafoam, turquoise, and teal, achieved by crossing back to roosters carrying the double blue egg gene.
Coastal Eggers also offer variety in appearance, with feathers that can vary in color and features such as muffs, beards, and crests, making each bird visually unique.
These birds are medium-sized egg layers, producing approximately 280 eggs per year, making them both productive and beautiful additions to your backyard flock.

Most chicks are available through our Hatch Date/Schedule Form, which guarantees your order.
Any remaining chicks after reservations are filled will be added to our inventory. Customers can use the “Notify When Available” button to be alerted when extra chicks are available.
This is a first-come, first-served opportunity — using “Notify When Available” does not guarantee a chick, but you’ll be notified if extras are added.Please have an alternative breed chosen, as we can not control the availability of hatch percentages.
