Mosaic Eggers are a developing specialty breeding project created at Roslin Poultry Ranch, bringing together selected genetics from multiple breeding lines to create a unique range of egg and feather colour combinations. The goal is to produce a colourful mix of green, olive and brown eggs, with the potential for naturally occurring speckling.
As a developing line, no two birds are expected to be exactly alike. Each generation is carefully selected for desirable egg colour, unique characteristics, health, temperament and overall quality as the project continues to evolve.
About Mosaic Eggers™
Mosaic Eggers are a developing specialty breeding project created at Roslin Poultry Ranch with the goal of combining selected characteristics from multiple breeding lines. Rather than aiming for one standardized appearance or a single egg colour, the project focuses on creating a diverse range of green, olive and brown egg shades, along with unique feather colour and pattern combinations.
Mosaic Eggers are selected over multiple generations for desirable egg colour, distinctive characteristics, health, temperament and overall quality. Because the line is still developing, each generation can bring new and unexpected combinations, making every bird part of the ongoing Mosaic project.
